Perception and Preconceptions

Once establishing first contact, it is reasonable to intensify the signals that trigger "sympathy and feeling at ease" in the audience, signals of "likeness". Signals that do not match one's own personal communication style or are not understood are perceived initially as irritating.

This could lead to the following preconceptions:

  • the Actional type as: as show-off / superficial / boaster…
  • the Emotional type as: an opportunist / sweet-talker / sentimental ...

  • the Rational type as: arrogant / robotic / cold…
  • the Actional type as: a tyrant / militant / a bull in a china shop…
